Pirates, Poodles........and

Well, the other p's were on the boat!!! Heh. (just for you rachel!)

Laughing. Lots and lots of laughing!
Our friends, Roy & Jessica arrived on Thursday. We had planned to take off on a 4 hr sail to Utila (geeze, that sounded like Gilligan, didn't it?!) right when they arrived. BUT.....thank you fog in Houston....their flight was delayed and our plans changed. Surprise, Surprise!! Also there was no wind, as in noneya, Thursday afternoon so we left the marina and headed West and around the point to set anchor at West End for the night. Scurried onto land where they were comepletely in heaven in that small diver's town. One dirt roat straight thru the middle of town, surrounded by dive shops, bars and restaurants. We stopped and bought some fruit for the boat out of the back of a truck. Pineapple, cantaloupe, bananas, peppers, garlic, tomatoes and cilantro.....about 130 Limpures. $6.50!!
On to Sundowners bar to wet some whistles and watch some divers!
Dinner at a place called Touchdown where we were thrilled to see our beloved LSU flag hanging with pride. Only to walk around the corner and see that nasty Hook em Horns flag flying.....but we ate there anyway!
Back to the boat and an early night for all!
This morning, the pirates went into town and got some fresh banana bread and baladeas for breakfast and we have now taken off for Utila. Beautiful day....still no wind.
Waters in the ocean are as smooth as Caddo Lake today......MY kinda sailing!!!!!!!
